Description of the KIP:
We are meeting in this award winning seaside cafe to work on our textile tribute to the coastline of Edinburgh. If you'd like to help us please come along and knit, crochet, stitch or felt some of the flora and fauna of our local shoreline. If you're happy with it, your work will be incorporated in a crowd-sourced exhibition about the Edinburgh shoreline in August this year. Alternatively, bring your current project with you and hang out with us.
Knit the Shoreline is part of the much bigger Edinburgh Shoreline Project which seeks to engage the local population with this wonderful resource.
What to bring:
Be prepared to buy something from the cafe. They're hosting us for free so we should support them. Other than that you can just rock up and we'll have kit and materials for you to use.
The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating areas – we'll be inside if it's cold and wet.
Is this KIP going to be exclusive to knitting?
Are there any bathrooms nearby?
This KIP is hosted by: Madeleine Shepherd
