Description of the KIP

Knit in the beauty and tranquility of The West Shore Fishing Museum on the shore of Lake Michigan’s Green Bay.

Visitors can step back into the past when touring the restored home, two exhibit buildings that trace local fishing history and practices from prehistoric to modern times, and several fishing vessels.

The Welcome Center houses a collection of area fishing photos and a charming vintage gift shop.

This is also the day of our annual plant sale! Plants from the Museum gardens and donated by our supporters will be for sale at very reasonable prices.

What to bring
Picnic tables available on the grounds, but you will want to bring a chair/blanket to take to your favorite spot. Soda & water are available in the Welcome Center for $1. Bring your own lunch/snacks.

Backup plan:
The Museum will be open, and the plant sale will go on, rain or shine. At this time, we don’t have plans to provide shelter for the knitters.

Is this KIP going to be exclusive to knitting?
No
Are there any bathrooms nearby?
