Date: June 8, 2019. Time: Noonish to 3
We will meet here
Nelson Park at Thurlow and Nelson St.
1030 Bute St,
V6E 1J2 Vancouver
I hope to get us set up on the patio near the water feature midway through the park near Comox street, but failing that, look for us on the lawn.
Description of the KIP
Saturdays are the West End Farmers Market, so let’s join the fun and bring our knitting! There will be plenty of market stalls selling produce and flowers and there are usually several food vendors as well. There is a public toilet in the park if needed.
New knitters are welcome! There should be a few of us able to teach those who want to learn. If you are a new knitter, please bring supplies if you have them and hopefully others will too!
If you have anything that has been sitting in your stash taking up space, bring it along and see if anyone wants to trade!
What to bring
Anything you are willing to loan or gift to a new knitter
Anything you might like to trade in the yarn swap
Weather appropriate gear
Seating! Chairs, blankets etc.
Weather report looks promising and I have a pop-up shelter tent I can bring if it’s light rain. No indoor backup plan at the moment.
Is this KIP going to be exclusive to knitting?
Are there any bathrooms nearby?
