Date: June 9, 2018. Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
We will meet here:
State House Lawn
115 State Street
Just look for the knitters!
Description of the KIP:
Come celebrate knitting and the fiber arts! We'll sit on blankets and lawn chairs and socialize while we knit. Share your ideas for guild activities and events. We're creating an inclusive community around knitting, and you're invited! You do not have to be a guild member to attend. This event is for all knitters, crocheters, and fiber arts enthusiasts! Come on out and show your "knitter's pride" as we knit in public with the rest of the world on World Wide Knit in Public Day!
The World Naked Bike Ride will also be streaking past! Don't worry; it's a family-friendly event!
What to bring:
Bring a blanket or lawn chair for your knitting comfort, plenty of water, snacks, or other beverages. A hat, sunscreen, and umbrella may be good ideas. Don't forget yarn and needles!
In case of rain, we'll play it by ear. We have a small canopy we may be able to use. We may also end up relocating to a cafe or to our LYS around the corner at 112 Main Street, aptly named, "Yarn!"
Is this KIP going to be exclusive to knitting?
Are there any bathrooms nearby?
