Date: June 10, 2017. Time: 1:30 pm to 4 pm
We will meet here:
Salem Public Library main floor
585 Liberty St SE
We will be gathering on the main floor, by the Reference Desk.
Description of the KIP:
Our guest speaker will be Tina Newton, owner of Blue Moon Fiber Arts, Inc., in Scappoose, OR. We're hoping she'll bring a wonderful assortment of Rare Gems and Mill Ends skeins that we can eagerly buy up for our future knitting projects. And maybe some of her lusciously dyed hand spinning fibers. We will be meeting for lunch at Marco Polo World restaurant first, to share a meal and meet each other. Everyone is invited to join us and the restaurant serves Vegan, Vegetarian, Chinese, and European.
What to bring:
Yourself, your knitting project to work on, excitement to meet Tina and another designer who will be in the audience (it's a secret!), and possibly some funds to take home some Blue Moon goodness. Be prepared to have a great time!
No backup plan, but there are two yarn shops in Salem for folks to visit before coming to the Library – Tangled Purls on south Commercial and Teaselwick Wools at the Willamette Heritage Center by Willamette University.
Is this KIP going to be exclusive to knitting?
Are there any bathrooms nearby?
