Date: June 10, 2017. Time: 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
We will meet here:
Beavertail State Park
Drive south on Beavertail Road around the Lighthouse. We’ll be on the east side facing Newport.
Description of the KIP:
All knitters, new or experienced, are invited. This will be an informal gathering at the Beavertail Park grounds, near the Lighthouse. We’ll be located on the grass between the two east facing parking lots. This will be an opportunity to sit, knit, socialize, people watch and enjoy a panoramic view of passing boats on Narragansett Bay. You might want to expand your day with a visit to the Lighthouse Museum.
What to bring:
Bring a chair or blanket (or both), lunch, snacks, water, hat, sunscreen (maybe an umbrella for shade), and whatever knitting or needlework projects you’d like.
I the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll hold a “knit-in” at the Jamestown Philomenian Library on North Road.
Is this KIP going to be exclusive to knitting?
Are there any bathrooms nearby?
