Hello Kathryn 🙂 My name is Gloria Grandy (nee Mallory). I lived in Grimsby a very long time ago. I went to Grimsby and District Secondary School for grades 11 and 12 and have many fond memories of those years. I am now living in Nova Scotia and belong to a knitting group here – River John Square Knitters – and we will also be hosting a KIP Day event – our third year.

As a group we knit and crochet for charity, focusing on Knit-a-Square (knit-a-square.com) We find KIP Day is an extremely enjoyable way to showcase the many health benefits – physical, mental, and emotional – of knitting and crocheting, meet new friends, gather new ideas, learn new techniques, create awareness of, and gather support for, our charitable work.

I wish you lots of sunshine and fun as you host your first ever KIP event. Hopefully it will be the first of many to come. If I could be in Grimsby on that day, I would join you!
