Description of the KIP
The Mitten State Knit-In is our annual celebration of knitting and crocheting, and it is a fundraiser for Mittens for Detroit. Grab your needles and hooks, and enjoy the climate-controlled beautiful setting at Leon & Lulu! You can sit with your friends or with new ones you’ll make that day. Demonstrations throughout the day, doorprizes, and it’s always a blast! Registration is $10, a tax-deductible donation to Mittens for Detroit. Leon & Lulu will donate 10% of the day’s sales to MFD as well. Sponsors: The Yarn Stop, Woolly & Co., Black Sheep Knitting Guild, Leon & Lulu, Mittens for Detroit.
What to bring
All you need to bring is what’s on your needles or hook and a great attitude! 🙂 If you have any new, unused mittens or gloves to donate for next season, please bring them along, too!
There is not a back-up plan, since this is in a dry and comfy store.
Is this KIP going to be exclusive to knitting?
Are there any bathrooms nearby?
This KIP is hosted by: Wendy Shepherd, Mittens for Detroit
Number of KIP’s hosted before :-): 4 previous KIPs – this is our 5th!
